The story, the people, and the principles behind the Ambedkarite Intelligence Foundation.
The Ambedkarite Intelligence Foundation was established with a single conviction: that Dr. Ambedkar's call — "Educate, Agitate, Organise" — is not a historical slogan but an active instruction for every generation. In a world being reshaped by artificial intelligence and digital technology, our communities must not be left behind.
AIF was founded by a group of professionals, educators, and technologists who saw the digital divide widening even as smartphones reached every hand. We exist to close that gap — through free programs, free tools, and an unwavering commitment to the students who need us most.
To deliver free, high-quality education and technology training to all underprivileged students — removing every economic and social barrier between them and a dignified, skilled career.
A society where a student's background, class, or geography never limits their access to knowledge — and where underprivileged communities lead in technology, research, and entrepreneurship.
Equality over charity. Knowledge as a right. Community before self. Transparency in all our work. These are not aspirations — they are the operational rules we follow every day.
Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar (1891–1956) was India's foremost legal scholar, economist, and social reformer — the first person from an untouchable caste to obtain a doctorate in economics from a foreign university. He understood, decades before the digital age, that access to institutions of knowledge was the decisive variable in social liberation.
AIF interprets his legacy in 21st-century terms: the institutions he fought to open now include online universities, AI platforms, coding bootcamps, and digital archives. Our job is to make sure that door is never closed to anyone because of the family they were born into.
"I measure the progress of a community by the degree of progress which women have achieved."
